What the opportunity is
SASSA is offering two programmes for 2026:
- Graduate Internship Programme – 24 months, monthly stipend R8 174.80.
- Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme – 6 to 18 months, monthly stipend R5 865.25.
Who can apply
Graduate Internship
- South African citizen, aged 18‑35.
- Unemployed graduate with a Degree, B‑Tech or National Diploma (NQF 6 or 7) in a relevant field.
- Willing to work in Gauteng.
Work Integrated Learning
- South African citizen, unemployed TVET learner.
- Completed an N6 National Certificate in a listed qualification.
- Need workplace experience to qualify for a National Diploma.

How to apply – step by step
- Download the New Z83 form (search “New Z83 form guide” on the SASSA site).
- Complete the form fully and sign it.
- Prepare the following documents:
- Updated CV
- Copy of your qualification (or proof of N6 completion)
- Statement of results (if applicable)
- Letter from your institution confirming the need for workplace experience (for WIL applicants)
- Write the reference number of the position you are applying for on the top right of the form.
- Package the form and documents together.
- Deliver the package by hand or post to the correct address (see below). Email is not accepted.
Tips to improve your chances
- Double‑check you have the right reference number (e.g., SASIn‑01, SASTv‑04).
- Ensure the New Z83 form is fully completed – no blanks.
- Tailor your CV to the specific functional area (Facilities Management, ICT, Finance, etc.).
- Include all requested academic details clearly.
