- At least 40 % in Mathematics
- Interest in one of the three offered qualifications
- Ability to learn and work in English
- Proof of residence (utility bill, lease, etc.)
- Certified copies of your Matric, ID and any other supporting documents
Employers also look for a positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to follow safety and food‑quality rules.
What you will learn (qualifications)
The learnership provides one of three occupational qualifications:
- Fermented Dairy Products Maker – focus on yoghurt and similar products, quality checks and hygiene.
- Dairy Products Maker – cover the full dairy production flow, safety standards and quality control.
- Food and Beverage Process Machine Operator – learn to run and maintain production machinery, monitor workflow and ensure safety.
Benefits and skills you gain
Successful learners walk away with:
- A nationally recognised qualification
- Hands‑on experience in a dairy manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of food safety, quality control and workplace health‑and‑safety
- Practical machine‑operation skills (if you choose the operator path)
- Teamwork, communication and problem‑solving abilities
- Better employability for entry‑level roles such as Production Worker, Dairy Assistant, Food‑Processing Operator, Machine Operator or Packaging Operator
How to apply – step by step
- Gather the required documents – CV, certified copy of your Matric certificate, copy of your ID, proof of residence and any other supporting papers.
- Write a clear CV. Include your personal details, Matric results (show English and Maths marks), any volunteer or work experience, and a short statement about why you want to work in dairy or food processing.
- Save all files as PDFs. Make sure every page is legible.
- Email your application to Academy2@limpopodairy.co.za with the subject line: Limpopo Dairies Learnership Opportunity 2026 Application. You may also hand‑deliver the hard copies to the Limpopo Dairies office.
- Check that you have sent the email before the deadline (3 July 2026). Keep a copy of the sent email as proof.
Tips to improve your chances
- Place your English and Maths percentages front‑and‑centre on your CV.
- Add one sentence explaining why you are interested in dairy production, food processing or machine operation.
- Proofread every document – spelling mistakes create a negative first impression.
- If you lack formal work experience, describe school projects, community work or any task that shows responsibility and teamwork.
- Submit early. Waiting until the last day can cause delays if you need to get certified copies.
Next steps
If you meet the criteria, start preparing your documents today. The learnership is a solid first step into the food‑and‑beverage industry and can open doors to many production roles.
Remember, this is a competitive programme, so a well‑presented application will give you the best possible chance. Good luck!
