SASSA TVET Internships 2026 – R5 639.75 stipend, apply by 17 July

SASSA TVET internships are back and they need four unemployed graduates right now. You could earn an all‑inclusive stipend of R5 639,75 per month while you complete 18 months of on‑the‑job training.

What is the opportunity?

SASSA will place you in its regional office in Kimberley for a work‑integrated learning (WIL) placement. There are four spots across two career streams:

  • Fraud and Risk Management – for N6 holders in Public Management or Public Administration (Reference SAS NC26/07/01).
  • Communications and Marketing – for N6 holders in Marketing Management or Public Relations (Reference SAS NC26/07/02).

Each placement lasts 18 months and includes a monthly stipend of R5 639,75.

Who can apply?

You must meet all of the following:

  • Age 18 to 35 years
  • South African citizen
  • Unemployed
  • Completed an N6 National Certificate in a relevant field
  • Have a statement of results for that qualification
  • Need 6–18 months of practical work experience for your studies

The programme guarantees an 18‑month contract, but it does not promise a permanent job after training.

What will you gain?

  • 18 months of supervised, public‑sector work experience
  • Hands‑on exposure to administrative controls, risk processes, or professional communications and marketing
  • All‑inclusive stipend of R5 639,75 per month
  • Practical credit that counts toward completing your N6 qualification

How to apply – step by step

  1. Download the New Z83 form from the SASSA website.
  2. Complete the form and sign it.
  3. Prepare a detailed CV that includes:
    • Qualifications and institutions
    • Work experience, responsibilities and dates
    • ID number, demographic details and two contactable references
  4. Write the exact internship stream and the correct reference number (SAS NC26/07/01 or SAS NC26/07/02) on both the Z83 form and your CV.
  5. Make one set of documents (no copies needed at this stage).
  6. Send the set by post or hand‑delivery to:

Attention: Human Capital Management
Private Bag X6011
Kimberley
8300

Or deliver it to:

SASSA Northern Cape Regional Office
33 Du Toitspan Road, Permanent Building
Kimberley

Keep a copy of everything you send.

Tips to improve your chances

  • Double‑check that the reference number matches your chosen stream – mixing them up will send your application to the wrong selection panel.
  • Fill the Z83 form neatly; illegible handwriting can lead to rejection.
  • Make sure your CV lists exact dates and responsibilities – vague entries may be flagged.
  • Submit early. The deadline is 17 July 2026, and late or incomplete applications are automatically disqualified.
  • If you have a foreign qualification, arrange a South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluation before you apply.
