There are five False Bay TVET College graduate internships funded by ETDP SETA that start soon, and they could be the first step you need after graduation.
What the internship offers
The college is looking for unemployed South African graduates for 24‑month placements. Stipends are paid monthly:
- R7 500 for NQF Level 7 Student Support Services roles.
- R6 000 for NQF Level 6 Student Support Services and Open Learning Centre roles.
All positions are based on the college’s campuses:
- Mitchell’s Plain or Khayelitsha – Level 7 Student Support Services (2 posts).
- Westlake or Muizenberg – Level 6 Student Support Services (2 posts).
- Fish Hoek – Open Learning Centre (1 post).
Who can apply
You must be a South African citizen, currently unemployed, and have no criminal record. Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge are required.
Specific qualification requirements:
- Level 7 roles: SAQA‑recognised Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Psychology, Applied Social Science, Social Sciences, Community Development, counselling or related fields.
- Level 6 Student Support Services: NQF 6 qualification in Psychology, Applied Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Social Sciences, Community Development, Youth Development, Social Work or similar.
- Open Learning Centre: Preference for NQF 6 qualification in Library and Information Studies, ICT or Information Technology.
