What the internship programme is
The Education, Training and Development Practices (ETDP) SETA is partnering with Goldfields TVET College to offer five graduate internships. They are full‑time Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements that give you hands‑on practice in a professional environment.
Who can apply
- Unemployed South African graduate
- Never completed an internship or any WIL programme
- Hold the qualification required for the specific position (see sections below)
- Available for the full placement period

What you will gain

Available positions and qualification requirements
1. Research & Education Planning Intern
- Required: Recognised Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field with research as a major
- Must understand different research methodologies
2. Website Development Intern
- Required: Recognised diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Must know HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, database design, website hosting and maintenance
3. Occupational Health & Safety Intern
- Required: Recognised diploma or degree in Health and Safety Management
- Attention to detail is essential for accurate documentation
4. IT Support Intern
- Required: Recognised diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Should be comfortable troubleshooting technical issues and assisting users
5. Supply‑Chain & Procurement Intern
- Required: Recognised diploma or degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, Logistics or Procurement
- Provides exposure to public‑sector procurement processes and inventory control
