What is the opportunity?
Andru Mining, a contractor in coal, hard‑rock, chrome and gold opencast mining, is offering an internal Professional in Training (PIT) learnership. It is designed for employees who already have solid experience on the mine floor and want to develop technical and leadership skills.
Who can apply?
The learnership is open ONLY to current Andru Mining staff. No external applicants are considered.
Applicants must meet ALL of the following:
- Grade 12 (or equivalent) with Mathematics or Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Valid Opencast Blasting Certificate
- Current driver’s licence
- At least three years of work in an opencast mining environment or experience as a multi‑skilled B3U‑level mining machine operator
- Eligibility for admission to Andru Mining’s Management Development Programme
What will you gain?
Successful candidates will be placed in the Coal or Hardrock division and will receive structured training that prepares them for senior supervisory or management roles.
