What is the GAAL Internship?
Gateway Airports Authority Limited (GAAL) is offering three paid graduate placements at Polokwane International Airport. Each placement lasts 12 months and includes a stipend of R7 000 per month. The program is re‑advertised for the 2026 intake.
Who can apply?
You must be a South African citizen, unemployed, aged 18‑35, and have a relevant NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification (a three‑year degree or diploma). No previous work experience is required and you must not have completed another internship with GAAL.
- ICT placement – degree/diploma in information technology or related field. Use reference ICT 01/26.
- Public Relations placement – degree/diploma in marketing, PR, journalism or communications. Use reference SMCC 02/26.
- Aviation Compliance placement – degree/diploma in aviation, safety, quality or operations management. Use reference AC 03/26.
If your qualification was earned outside South Africa, have it evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority before you apply.
