What the opportunity is
Impactful, powered by LRMG, will deliver the Occupational Certificate: Software Developer. The qualification is assessed by MICTSETA as the Assessment Quality Partner. It blends classroom theory, hands‑on projects and real‑world workplace experience.
Who can apply
You need a Grade 12 certificate. Some cohorts may also ask for Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, basic coding knowledge, or a personal computer. Check the specific requirements for the intake you are interested in.
What you will gain
The 220‑credit programme is split into three parts:
- 66 credits – knowledge modules (computer systems, programming theory, HTML5, Python, cloud automation, UML, design thinking, professional ethics).
- 89 credits – practical skill modules (building, testing and maintaining software, web‑app development, data handling, software‑development‑life‑cycle practices).
- 65 credits – workplace experience (requirement analysis, process modelling, a capstone project, mentorship).
On completion you receive the Occupational Certificate: Software Developer, NQF Level 5.
