Right now you can start a paid internship with SASSA in Gauteng. The SASSA Gauteng Internship & Work Integrated Learning Programme 2026 gives unemployed graduates and TVET learners a chance to earn a stipend while learning on the job.
What is the programme?
SASSA will place you in a government department for real‑world experience. There are two tracks:
- Graduate Internship – 24 months, monthly stipend R8,174.80.
- Work Integrated Learning (WIL) – 18 months, monthly stipend R5,639.75.
Both tracks let you apply what you learned in class to daily tasks such as admin, customer service, finance, HR or IT.
Who can apply?
Check that you meet every point before you start an application.
