The Trust offers financial support to South African students studying scarce‑skill programmes. For 2027 the focus is on:

- Business Management (BCom)
- Business Administration (BCom)

Who can apply?
To be eligible you must:
- Be a South African citizen with a valid ID
- Study full‑time at one of the approved Gauteng universities
- Be in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year and need funding for the next year
- Be enrolled in one of the approved degrees listed above
- Pass all registered courses and show good academic progress
- Be willing to attend interviews and complete any required psychometric tests
Preference will be given to Black applicants, especially Black women, Black students under 35, and Black students with disabilities.

- University of Johannesburg
- North‑West University – Vanderbijlpark campus
- University of the Witwatersrand
Students at universities of technology or colleges are not eligible.
What does the bursary cover?
- Registered tuition fees
- Registration and exam fees
- Accommodation support (average single‑room hostel rate)
- Textbooks and other course material
- Living allowance
The Trust decides the payment method and will provide full details to successful applicants.
What extra commitment is required?
If you receive the bursary you must spend at least three weeks of your mid‑year university holidays in a vacation‑work or job‑shadowing placement at Schauenburg Systems. This gives you real‑world experience in your field.
