What the learnership offers
The Centre of Specialisation, together with AgriSETA, runs a 36‑month Boilermaker programme. It is based at the Gandhi Mandela Centre, Pretoria West Campus of Tshwane South TVET College. Successful learners will split their time between classroom theory and real‑world workplace rotations.
Who can apply
- Age: 18 to 35 years
- Education: Minimum Grade 11
- Mathematics: Passed Maths is an advantage
- Relevant background: N1–N6 in Mechanical or Welding
- Willingness to be placed at an identified workplace and follow the rotational plan
What you will gain
You will develop hands‑on skills in metal cutting, shaping, welding, assembly and maintenance of boiler and other steel structures. The programme also builds knowledge of safety procedures, technical drawings and industrial equipment. After 36 months you will have a recognised qualification that can open doors to jobs in manufacturing, mining, construction and engineering firms.
