What is the NSF‑Funded Skills Programme 2026?
The National Skills Fund is financing short, 75‑day courses at West Coast TVET College. You can choose from accredited office and computer courses or non‑accredited construction and engineering trades. All successful students receive a daily allowance that is paid each month while they study.
Who can apply?
- Unemployed South African youth
- Age 18 to 35 years
- Minimum Grade 9 for non‑accredited trades, Grade 10 for accredited courses

Accredited programmes (Malmesbury Campus)
- ICB Junior Bookkeeping – 10 places
Requirement: Grade 10, unemployed, 18‑35. Prior accounting knowledge helps. - International Computer Driver’s Licence (ICDL) – 10 places

Non‑accredited short‑skills programmes (Construction & Engineering)
- CBMT Boilermaker Phase 1 & 2 – 10 places
- CBMT Welder Phase 1 & 2 – 10 places
- CBMT Bricklayer Phase 1 & 2 – 10 places
- CBMT Fitter & Turner Phase 1 & 2 – 10 places
- CBMT Electrical Phase 1 & 2 – 10 places
All non‑accredited trades require at least Grade 9, unemployment status, and the same age range.
