What is the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026/2027?
The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture will give you in‑service training that counts toward the practical part of your diploma or degree. Placements can last from one month up to 18 months, depending on what your qualification requires.
Who can apply?
- Unemployed graduates who studied at a TVET college or University of Technology
- Live in KwaZulu‑Natal
- Are aged between 18 and 35 years
- Need practical training to finish your qualification
- Meet the specific field requirement for the placement you choose
- Have not already worked in the same field or taken part in a government WIL programme

How to apply – step by step
- Download the official Z83 application form (the only form accepted).
- Complete every field and sign the form. An incomplete or unsigned form will be rejected.
- Update your CV. Include your full name, contact details, address, qualification, institution, modules you have completed and any volunteer or project work.
- Gather proof of residential address (e.g., utility bill or lease).
- Choose the placement that matches your qualification and note its reference number (e.g., DSAC WIL 01).
- Quote the correct reference number on your Z83 form.
- Send the completed Z83 form, your CV and the address proof by hand or post to the appropriate office (see address list below). Applications must arrive before 26 June 2026.
