HEINEKEN Global Graduate Programme 2026: Commerce – How to Apply

The HEINEKEN Global Graduate Programme 2026 closes soon. Applications open on 15 May and close on 31 May. Only two Commerce positions are available for South African graduates ready to work anywhere in the world.

What Is the HEINEKEN Global Graduate Programme?

This is a three-year development programme for Commerce graduates. HEINEKEN Beverages is offering two spots in their Commerce stream. You will not stay in one desk job. You will move through three different six-month rotations.

The first rotation happens at HEINEKEN in South Africa. You will learn how the local business works. The second rotation moves you to a different business area. This helps you see how departments connect. The third rotation sends you abroad. You will work in another country to build global experience.

After you finish the three years, you may step into a management role. HEINEKEN states that successful graduates can move into management either back home or at another global office.

Who Can Apply?

You need a Bachelor’s degree to apply. Your qualification should be in Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Business Management, or a related field.

You must be a recent graduate. HEINEKEN allows a maximum of one year of work experience after your graduation. If you graduated recently or are about to graduate, you fit the profile.

You must speak English well. You must have the legal right to work in South Africa. You must also be fully globally mobile. This means you are ready to travel and live in other countries for your assignments.

What You Will Gain

You will join a community of graduates from around the world. Senior leaders and past graduates will mentor you. You will lead projects and learn how to manage stakeholders.

The programme builds specific skills. You will grow in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. You will also develop commercial awareness and learn how to coordinate projects across different teams.

The biggest benefit is the pathway to leadership. This is not just a job. It is a structured route into management with one of the world’s largest beverage companies.

How to Apply

You must apply online through the official HEINEKEN careers portal. Do not use email or paper forms. The official link is https://careers.theheinekencompany.com/job/heineken-beverages/south-africa/global-graduate-program-commerce.

Upload your CV and a cover letter. After you submit, you will complete online assessments. These include situational behaviour questions and a cognitive test.

Be careful. You can only take the online assessment once. If you apply to more than one Global Graduate Programme position in South Africa, your results will only show for the first role you chose. Pick the Commerce stream and commit to it.

Interviews and assessment centre days will happen around June and July 2026.

Tips to Strengthen Your Application

Many applicants worry about having no work experience. If you lack formal jobs, list university projects, volunteer work, campus leadership roles, or business competitions on your CV. Show any activity that proves you can lead and solve problems.

Write a cover letter that shows passion. Do not simply say you need experience. Explain why Commerce excites you. Give examples of when you showed leadership. Confirm that you are ready to move countries for the international rotation.

Check your contact details twice. Use a professional email address. Keep your academic records and identity documents ready. The system may ask for them.

Avoid common mistakes. Do not submit the same application to multiple HEINEKEN graduate roles in South Africa. Do not rush the online assessment. Do not ignore the global mobility requirement. Only apply if you are truly willing to relocate.

Take Action Before the Deadline

The window is short. You have from 15 May to 31 May to submit. Competition will be high for these two positions. Prepare your documents now. Visit the official portal, complete the forms carefully, and submit before the end of May.

This programme offers South African graduates a rare chance. You will gain international exposure, mentorship, and a clear path into management. If you meet the requirements and are ready for global mobility, take the step today.
