South Africa’s North West Department of Education is now accepting applications for its 2026/27 Internship Programme – a chance for unemployed graduates and TVET learners to gain real‑world experience in government offices before the 12 June 2026 deadline.
What is the internship?
The programme offers short‑term placements in district and provincial offices across the North West Province. Interns work in areas such as administration, finance, planning, infrastructure, IT and education support while receiving a monthly stipend that matches their highest qualification.
Who can apply?
You must meet all of the following criteria:
- South African citizen, unemployed and aged 18‑35
- Holder of a TVET N6, diploma or degree relevant to the post
- Never participated in a government or SETA‑funded internship
- Willing to work at the district or provincial office where you are placed
The Department especially encourages women, people with disabilities and youth from rural communities to apply.
